Interior design of the Wellness Area
The new wellness area is located on the top floor of the new extension to the existing Hotel Farny. The 200 m2 wellness & spa area not only impresses with its sauna landscape, but also with a panoramic relaxation room and lounge area with sauna bar, indoor and outdoor relaxation loungers and a pleasantly relaxing ambience.
The entrance area is accessed from the lift or via the staircase and is located in the central area and is naturally lit by a round skylight. The changing room with WC area and the associated lockers are also accessed from the entrance area. An elliptical wall leads visitors into the wellness area.
From the relaxation area and the quiet room, you can let your gaze wander over the surrounding landscape through the large, floor-to-ceiling windows. You can also enjoy the view of the greenery from the long balcony and the large panoramic terrace. The interior flows seamlessly into the exterior, creating a further strong connection to nature. The same tiled flooring (inside and outside) emphasizes this concept.
The walls around the wet core with the three different showers and the walls to the relaxation room are clad with solid wood, which bring warmth to the wellness area, and the built-in linear light coves enhance this effect. The wooden cladding creates a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of modern Alpine huts. The wood also emphasizes the ecological principles of the interior design. The natural surfaces of brushed larch and their simple design language create a timeless interior design. Well-founded detailed planning emphasizes the minimalist design.
A water vapor fireplace with a deceptively real flame pattern, which is visible from both the relaxation area and the quiet room, brings atmosphere and warmth into the room. The ultra-fine water vapor released also helps to improve the indoor climate.
The colors and materials respect the genius loci: wooden cladding in larch clad the interior walls, the wooden slats serve as a privacy screen in front of the relaxation room and allow natural light to shine through into the entrance area. The floors are covered with grey ceramic tiles with a pebble look, reminiscent of the local stone, while the green painted walls create a link to nature. The shower and WC area is clad in small rectangular green or grey tiles. This collection of porcelain stoneware tiles with a glossy effect and chromatic variation brings elegance to these wet areas.
The low ceiling height of this floor is compensated for by various large, round, recessed luminaires. It is indirect lighting that fully integrates the light into the architecture, making the lighting fixture invisible.
